Food & Guest Reviews
Ann is a qualified chef — and our guests notice the difference.
Home Baking, Made Fresh Every Day
I make all my own brown soda bread and scones — it is the way I was taught, and it is the way I believe food should be. As a qualified chef with an additional qualification in food hygiene management, I bring professional standards to everything I serve, from the breakfast table to evening meals for groups.
Our breakfast menu offers plenty of choice: traditional Irish, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, or a continental breakfast served in your room. For groups of five or more, we provide evening meals — try the beef in Guinness casserole, made with beef raised on our own farm, or fresh fish from the Wild Atlantic.
What Our Guests Say
Real reviews from Tripadvisor and Google.
“Friendly & Welcoming — The B&B is in a quaint rural location outside of Waterville overlooking Lough Currane. Our hostess, Ann, was extremely friendly and welcoming, and we felt right at home. Our room was tidy and neat, and breakfast was wonderful. Ann really went above and beyond by helping us with some arrangements for a local excursion. The view from the front — toward the lake — is marvellous.”

“Wonderful — Unfortunately we only had one night in this delightful part of Ireland! Our host Ann and family were friendly and made us very welcome. The view from the lodge was amazing and changed with the time of day. Room was cosy, shower hot and breakfast delicious with gluten free not a problem. Highly recommend good value for money.”

“Great Accommodation, Even Better Host — Over a two week stay in Ireland, Ann was the kindest host that we came across. Beautiful views of the lake from the dining room. Ann served Guinness Stew one evening using beef raised on their own farm. Unbelievable meal. Her scones are second to none. The hospitality and genuine kindness shown by Ann and her husband is a rare and welcome find.”
