The Waters
- Lough Currane — 4 miles by 2 miles, the largest lake in the system. Famous for salmon and sea trout.
- Lough Derriana — Top lough with larger-than-average brown trout.
- Lough Na Mona — Produces many very large seatrout.
- River Cummeragh — Drains 46 sq miles, holds well after spates. Spring salmon, summer grilse, and excellent seatrout from July.
- River Inny — Narrow mountain valley, good grilse and seatrout after spates.
- The Currane (Butlers Pool) — World-famous 400-yard stretch draining into the Atlantic. Grilse and enormous runs of seatrout in July/August. Recommended flies: Jungle Cock Spider, Bibio, Bloody Butcher, Silver Doctor, Stoats Tail, Shrimp Patterns.
- Hill Loughs — Dozens of remote loughs with unique brown trout and large seatrout. Consult OS Map No. 83 and Peter O'Reilly's Loughs of Ireland.
