Bed & Breakfast on the Shore of Lough Currane
Direct lake access, home baking by a qualified chef, and five generations of fishing knowledge on the Wild Atlantic Way.
A Genuine Irish Welcome on the Ring of Kerry
Set in an idyllic location directly on Lough Currane, our B&B is an ideal base for exploring the many scenic areas of Kerry. Just 300 metres from the lake, we offer spacious en-suite rooms, lake views, private parking, and a peat fire in the sitting room. Whether you are walking the Kerry Way, driving the Ring of Kerry, or simply looking to unwind, you will find the very best of Kerry hospitality here.
Ann — a qualified chef — prepares everything from scratch: brown soda bread, scones, Irish stew, beef in Guinness casserole, and fresh fish from the Atlantic. Our continental breakfast can also be served in your room.
Learn More About Us
Lough Currane & Church Island
Lough Currane — a life-sustaining, clean environment for Atlantic salmon and famous sea trout — drains into the wild Atlantic by the Currane River. Every day we look out to see Church Island, a monastic site founded by St. Finnian and strongly connected to the great Skellig Island. The remains of the church and stone crosses still stand; it is said that St. Malachy studied here. We can arrange a boat trip for you to enjoy a picnic in this special place.
“Walk the hills where the ancient Celtic people lived in harmony with nature for centuries. Hear the dawn chorus, enjoy one of the best night skies on the planet, and explore our Celtic heritage, language, music and festivals.”
